Working together with the community
Our workshops support teachers in collaborating with community members to connect classroom learning with Indigenous and local knowledge. Together, we explore ways to develop lessons and materials that meet curriculum requirements while reflecting students’ languages, cultural backgrounds, and everyday experiences.

We work with students, teachers, elders, and other community members to develop projects around shared interests and community priorities. Activities include documenting stories and knowledge, creating educational materials, and supporting learning across generations, strengthening connections between schools and communities.

We collaborate with communities, students, educators, and researchers to create books and learning materials that reflect local stories, languages, and knowledge. We also support authors undertaking similar work in developing their books and making them digitally accessible to the communities involved.
